Grab a bite to eat at McDonald's today and support McHappy Day - paNOW

“First of all, I would like to introduce myself here. I am happy to be a part of this team and get to know them more,” Bains told paNOW. “Come on in and enjoy anything. You can buy any menu item, and 10 percent of that menu item will go towards the charity that we have selected.

“It is one of the biggest events we do, it is very important to us.”

Due to the pandemic, they were unable to host McHappy Day in 2020. More than $6.6 million dollars was raised across the country for RMHC and its families during their last McHappy Day in 2019.

McDonald’s Canada has set a goal to make this year the biggest ever to keep more than 26,000 families close to their sick child and the care they need.

For a $2 donation, guests can purchase a McHappy Day Digital Heat in-restaurant, while supplies last, and receive a ‘thank you’ video from a Canadian athlete, celebrity, or RMHC family. A $5 donation can also be made to add a pair of exclusive McHappy Day x Peace Collective socks to any extra value meal order, while supplies last.

“Across our communities, it is humbling to know that RMHC has been there for so many Canadian families during a truly difficult time. Today, one in four Canadians have either stayed at RMHC or know someone who has,” Cathy Loblaw, RMHC Canada CEO said in a news release. “Supporting on McHappy Day provides a wonderful opportunity for Canadians to give back and help even more families in need. Thank you to everyone for your participation in McHappy Day today. Your support truly makes a difference for families with sick children, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

Guests can support by ordering in-store, through the drive-thru, or online through the McDonald’s app, Uber Eats, Skip The Dishes, and Door Dash with free delivery on orders $12 or more.

McDonalds has three locations in Prince Albert; Second Avenue West, 15th Street East, and in the Walmart Supercenter in Corner Stone.
