Toronto is arguably the most ethnically diverse city in the world, home to more than 200 different nationalities and 140 languages. Nearly half of the city’s population are immigrants.

Which means that Toronto is, without a doubt, a food paradise. The city’s culinary scene has become a symbol of its multicultural make-up — and diners are truly spoiled for choice.

So it was no surprise that, when we surveyed FT readers for Toronto travel tips, restaurant recommendations came in aplenty. Here are your favourite places to dine out in the Canadian financial capital.
